Councilwoman Cerssandra McPherson is a Toledo native and longtime educator with Toledo Public Schools. She has deep ties within the community and has been involved in the faith and labor communities for over 30 years. She is working for a more equitable and prosperous Toledo now and into the future through reinvesting in neighborhoods, increasing youth engagement, and supporting local business.
Her plan is to direct investment into historically underserved neighborhoods across the city - building affordable housing, upgrading infrastructure, reducing blight, bolstering community services, and supporting local business. She knows that the citizens of Toledo work hard and deserve to live in communities where they can raise a family knowing that they are safe and can get their needs met in their own neighborhood. By creating a local economy where everyone has a seat at the table, we can build a brighter future together.
